14 - 19 Powys Voice

School pupils from Newtown High School have successfully completed the City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Salon Services and were recently presented with their Certificates.

Coleg Powys has developed partnerships with a number of Secondary Schools in the Powys area and provides a range of vocational access courses to year 10 and 11 pupils as part of this. These compliment and fit in with GCSE timetables and give successful students a qualification equivalent to GCSEs, as well as providing them with work related practical skills.
